Management Team
Aunigma’s management is a key asset necessary to realize success in the marketplace. The four founders offer over 80 years experience in corporate and entrepreneurial settings with expertise in general management, marketing, sales, operations, and critical technology area:

Ken Garrard, CEO and President, has over 21 years of experience with corporate and start-up technology companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Auburn University. Ken gained early corporate experience while working for General Signal, Schlumberger and Cellnet, dealing primarily  with various management information system offerings. Since 1992, he has been an inventor, investor, four-time serial entrepreneur, and consultant in several areas of disruptive and cutting-edge technologies. Ken’s first company, Visionspan, designed, built and marketed MMDS/ITFS systems and was ultimately purchased by Bellsouth in 1998. Ken’s next venture, Telemetry Technologies Inc., which designed, manufactured and marketed wireless telemetry products, incorporated in 1999. TTI was later sold to Metrix Communications in 2002.  That same year, Ken founded BlueSpan Communications Corp, which designs, builds and markets AMR systems to electric utilities and remains in business today. Ken’s multidiscipline expertise in management, business development, telecommunications, and engineering provides Aunigma’s core leadership.

Karl Elliott, Chief Technology Officer, is a 33-year seasoned businessman and inventor with numerous technology developments to his credit in the IT and process controls arena. His career history includes serving as an executive technology consultant to several international Fortune 500 companies, such as Crane Corp and Exxon. Karl is also a Founder, Co-founder and CTO to several successful high tech start-ups. Mr. Elliott’s vast experience in information technology, management and consulting anchors Aunigma’s technology initiatives.

Bill Kirby, Vice President of Corporate Development, has over 30 years experience in telecommunications, electric utilities and consulting, with a focus on emerging and wireless technologies. His major competencies are in corporate development and starting new technology-based businesses. Besides several internal start-ups for BellSouth and Southern Company, Aunigma is the third private start-up in which he has played a major role. He holds bachelors and masters degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Clemson and the University of South Carolina.

Andy Huang, Senior Software Engineer, holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia and received a Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from Auburn in May 2006. Mr. Huang is one of the inventors of Aunigma’s core technology and the main code developer.

Edgar Reynolds, Board of Directors, has been in the wireless industry for 16 years and has over 37 years experience in telecommunications. He is currently Chairman of nsoro, LLC and was previously president of Network Operations for Cingular Wireless, where he oversaw all phases of wireless construction, operations and maintenance. Mr. Reynolds also has served as president of BellSouth Mobility and several other cellular and wireless data companies. Ed is a member of the Wireless Advisory Board at Auburn University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He also holds an MBA from the University of Alabama.
