When operating on a server or client device, PacketLok—Aunigma’s core technology—uses a patent-pending method of constructing packets so that each has a unique identification and encryption key. The receiving device is synchronized to accept only a packet bearing those specific parameters. Any other packet is immediately dropped without creating a computational state. The rejected packets can be vectored to a “honeypot” for collection and later forensic analysis. As a result, the throughput of the client or server increases dramatically over that attained by SSL/TLS, IPSec and other security methods.
Aunigma also affords the user a number of choices to establish encryption strength for a secure communications session, most importantly type of encryption and variable key length. This flexibility allows selection of parameters that are consistent with the type of traffic to be protected, the application, throughput and security levels desired.
The following features of our technology provide numerous advantages over our competitors’ solutions:
- Network protocol and device operating system agnostic.
- Inherently delivers packet, session and application level security.
- Prevents client-server: middle-man attacks, hijacked sessions, piggybacking, phishing, brute force, DoS/DDoS attacks and more.
- Eliminates other security exposures inherent with SSL/PKI/DC technology.
- System is not compromised by loss of client devices.
- Customer has option to select most encryption standards currently in use.
- Requires fewer non-personnel IT resources
- hardware process faster by an order of magnitude or greater,
- throughput faster by orders of magnitude when using our optimized transport protocol,
- suitable for both legacy and evolving applications,
- computationally less burdensome on hardware to process packets, and
- easily implements to IPv6 environment with increased performance.
