Aunigma a Top 20 Finalist in Alabama Launchpad Competition
In February Aunigma’s business plan was named one of 20 semi-finalists in the Alabama Launchpad Competition. Alabama Launchpad is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to support entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education in Alabama. It was formed in 2006 by six of the state’s research universities and The Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA) in conjunction with the business community. Aunigma Accepted as an ISV for RIM
Research In Motion (RIM) invited Aunigma to join the BlackBerry® Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Alliance Program in May. This program affords members the opportunity to develop new applications for RIM’s highly successful line of wireless PDAs and obtain product, development, marketing and sales support from the company. www.rim.com.

New Agreement Struck with Auburn
After completing an extensive due diligence test, Auburn University converted its existing option agreement with Aunigma to a further reaching contract in May. The new license agreement grants exclusive worldwide rights to Auburn’s patent-pending security technology. Aunigma is pursuing additional patent protection for its new developments. www.auburn.edu.

Sun™ Microsystems Provides Key Technologies for Aunigma
After developing much of its technology using Java and the OSGi framework, Aunigma added a total Sun solution in November. PacketLok™— Aunigma’s core technology—is now tightly integrated with the Solaris™ 10 operating system and running on Sun servers to provide a universal VPN gateway solution. The company now participates in the Sun Developer Network, the OpenSolaris™ Community and the Java™ Technology Community. In January 2008 Aunigma will become a part of the Sun Partner Advantage Program. www.sun.com.

Android Becomes Additional Platform for Aunigma
In November Google unveiled a suite of software—dubbed Android—for mobile phones based on open-source technology. This new platform is backed by some of the largest wireless industry companies in the world. Anticipating the market opportunities that mobile applications will bring, Aunigma migrated PacketLok to Android during December. The company will begin developing innovations for the platform in 1Q08. code.google.com/android.

Aunigma Technology Undergoes Third Party Verification
Verification of Aunigma’s capabilities by third parties and certification by independent software testing labs are important steps in gaining both recognition and acceptance in the marketplace. During December our technology successfully passed vector analysis by a well-known security consultant. Additional verification will take place after the first of the year with Aunigma’s growing list of partners.
